Copenhagen-based musician Anna Østerby (b.1999) has played the accordion since childhood. A decade ago, she discovered folk music, which led to a deep and ongoing engagement with the world of traditional Nordic music and dance. Anna has studied in both Denmark and Sweden and most recently got her bachelor in Swedish folk music from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.

Over the years, she has composed for various projects, drawing inspiration from the glow, warmth, and energy of folk music and its unique ability to bring people together through a shared moment, an encounter, or a dance.
